Damian’s Coffee Diary is an archive of my old coffee review Instagram, transplanted here for posterity.

I’ve been making espresso at home for years, and along the way I started documenting the specialty roasters and coffees I was trying. This is that archive.

What do I drink?

I mostly drink espresso-based drinks — flat whites, cappuccinos, and straight shots. I have a home espresso setup and enjoy dialling in different coffees.

I have a preference for lighter to medium roasts with fruit-forward or complex flavour profiles, though I enjoy a good classic milk blend too.

Where am I based?

Brisbane, Australia. There’s a great specialty coffee scene here and in the surrounding region, and a lot of the roasters featured here are local to South East Queensland.
